State of Mic Multimedia

The Gambia’s Leading Multimedia Production Company
Role: Programmes & Communications Director

State of Mic Multimedia is the largest multimedia production company in The Gambia, producing documentaries, advocacy campaigns, and creative content for national and international partners.

As Programmes & Communications Director, I led both the strategic and operational sides of the organization’s work, bridging creative production with communications, partnerships, and programme development. My role spanned brand positioning, content strategy, social media management, client liaison, and end-to-end programme coordination.

I worked across high-profile projects for clients including UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, the Ministry of Health, Safe Hands for Girls, and The Girls’ Agenda — shaping messaging, managing production workflows, and increasing the visibility of major advocacy and public awareness campaigns.

Key contributions included developing programme proposals, liaising directly with external clients and development partners, managing cross-functional creative teams, and overseeing digital communications. I helped increase project visibility, grow digital engagement, improve delivery timelines by 40%, and increase repeat contracts by 20%.

How this shapes my client work today:

This role reflects my ability to lead complex, production-heavy projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and coordinate external creatives, the same integrator role I now play for ThinkSolv clients.
